Patch releases and RC for Umbraco 11

Today we're shipping updates to all Newsletter Studio versions and releasing an RC for Umbraco 11.

What's new?

We've improved the way we handle links inside emails so that we can support "deep links" e.g. links pointing into an app. We now support links that looks like this: myapp://some/place or spotify:open:song1231231.

We've also fixed some minor issues around custom fonts and error handling when the tracking image can't be loaded.

We're also shipping a release candidate for Umbraco 11 (which is still in RC) that you can try out:

More and more recipients will mark unwanted e-mails as SPAM, lowering the reputation for sending e-mail server and making it harder for spam-filters to detect the real spam. The List-Unsubscribe header was introduced to mitigate this problem and to make it easier for recipients to unsubscribe from unwanted e-mails.

Gmail and Yahoo recently announced that they will demand big e-mail senders to include these headers in marketing emails beginning in February 2024.

In our latest release, we include native support for List-Unsubscribe headers to facilitate better deliverability.

Support for SMTP Rate Limits / Throttling

In the latest release pushed today, we're introducing native support for rate limiting or throttling when sending emails using an SMTP server.

This makes it even easier and safer to use Newsletter Studio to send campaigns as fast as possible.

Exporting to CSV and resending transactionals

We're excited to announce a new release of Newsletter Studio with fixed issues and some new features. It's now possible to export recipients as CSV from both the recipients overview and from an individual mailing list. We've also added a feature to re-send transactional emails.

Today we're happy to announce the first stable release of Newsletter Studio for Umbraco 12. This release includes all the goodies from the v11-version and adjustments for Umbraco 12. We're also shipping a patch-release for Umbraco 11 with bug fixes and improvements.

Updated Release Candidate for Umbraco 11 (RC2)

We've updated our RC for Umbraco 11 to use a Razor Class Library for static files and also updated the Umbraco-dependency to v11-RC5.

The RC is in a stable state and we plan to release our first stable version for Umbraco 11 very soon after the official release.

Announcing Newsletter Studio for Umbraco 9

As we've announced before the new iteration of Newsletter Studio will run on both Umbraco 8 and Umbraco 9. We're in the process of migrating parts of the package to .NET 5 and we've come a long way.

We have an RC (Release Candidate) out that has the same features and core-API as the Umbraco 8-version.

Finally, after a lot of hard work - the Newsletter Studio 3 for Umbraco 8 is out! The new version is a total rewrite for Umbraco 8, we have tried to be smart about this so that we can make the move to Umbraco vNext (based on .NET 5).
