Newsletter Studio v17 is here!

We’re excited to announce that Newsletter Studio v17, our fully supported release for Umbraco 17,  is now officially available!

This release brings full compatibility with Umbraco’s latest LTS version, all the groundwork we introduced during the release candidate phase, plus a first patch release with key improvements and fixes. Whether you’re upgrading from an earlier version or building on Umbraco 17 from scratch, now is a great time to make the jump.

With this release we’ve focused on ensuring Newsletter Studio works seamlessly on Umbraco 17, embracing its changes and new patterns while keeping the editor experience familiar and productive.

Full Umbraco 17 support

Newsletter Studio v17 targets Umbraco 17 and updates all dependencies accordingly — giving you confidence that you can run campaigns and transactional emails on the latest LTS version of Umbraco.

Dates stored as UTC

We’ve improved how Newsletter Studio handles dates and time zones. All dates are now stored consistently in UTC, while being displayed in the local time zone of the logged-in user. This ensures accurate scheduling and reporting across teams working in different regions, eliminates time zone ambiguity, and aligns with updated approach to date handling in the Umbraco core.

Update template resolution

The first patch release (17.0.1) introduces a case-insensitive template resolution that more precisely matches template aliases when rendering content in campaigns, making template lookups more reliable.

Bug fixes and quality improvements

We’ve also added more detailed logging to help troubleshoot content rendering issues and addressed various compatibility adjustments to ensure a smooth experience throughout the package.
